Grossman Math Olympiad

Thinking boy - Math OlympiadGrossman Math Olympiad has been organized by the Department of Mathematics in the Technion since 1960. It is named after the late Prof. Yirmiyahu Grossman and is the oldest math competition in Israel. The Olypmiad includes two separate competitions: one for junior high school students (7-9th grades) and one for high school students (10-12th grades) and recent school graduates (up to age 19). It offers to participants challenging and non-standard questions in elementary mathematics. The winners are awarded monetary prizes as well as tuition waivers (for those who choose to study in the Technion).
